Terms of Service - Learn in Curve

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using learnincurve.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

Learn in Curve is a self-directed, AI-assisted revision platform for professional certifications. We publish Courses, each of which provides revision content, practice questions and mock exams aimed at the published syllabus of a specific professional qualification. The Courses available at any time, and what each includes, are listed in the Schedule at the end of these terms.

Disclaimer of Affiliation: We are an independent educational platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any awarding body, examining body or professional membership organisation, including but not limited to APM (the Association for Project Management) and PMI (the Project Management Institute). APM, PMQ, PFQ, PMI and PMP are trade marks of their respective owners. Our course content is original revision material aimed at published syllabuses. It is not official examining body material, and purchasing a Course does not enrol you for, or award, any qualification.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make purchases on Learn in Curve.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activities that occur under your account. You may not share your account login with others. Please notify us immediately at support@learnincurve.com if you suspect your account has been compromised.

5. Definitions

These definitions apply throughout these terms.

  • Course: a distinct body of revision material published by us for a named professional qualification, together with its practice questions, mock exams and related features.
  • Paid Unlock: a one-time purchase granting access to some or all of a Course. We do not operate recurring subscriptions.
  • Paid Feature: any part of a Course that requires a Paid Unlock. What counts as a Paid Feature differs by Course and is set out in the Schedule.
  • Free Feature: any part of a Course we make available without a Paid Unlock. Some Courses have Free Features and some have none. The Schedule states which.

6. Access, Paid Features, and Payments

Learn in Curve operates on a one-time purchase model, rather than recurring subscriptions.

  • How access works: each Course is unlocked separately. Buying a Paid Unlock for one Course does not grant access to any other Course unless we say so explicitly at the point of sale.
  • What is free: where a Course includes Free Features, they are listed in the Schedule. Where the Schedule lists no Free Features for a Course, no part of that Course is available without purchase. Free Features are a permanent product decision for the Courses that have them, not a temporary introductory offer.
  • Prices: the price of each Paid Unlock is shown on the relevant course page and confirmed at checkout before you pay. The price shown at checkout is the price that applies to your purchase. Prices are not listed in these terms, so that these terms and our published prices cannot disagree.
  • Price changes: we may adjust prices in future. Any change applies only to new purchases and never retroactively to a Paid Unlock you already hold.
  • Duration of access: a Paid Unlock is one-time and is not time-limited. If we ever retire a Course, we will give reasonable notice to anyone holding a Paid Unlock for it.
  • Payments: all transactions are securely processed by Stripe. We do not process or store your card details on our servers.

7. Fair Usage Policy

Where a Course includes an AI tutor, we apply a fair usage policy to keep the platform stable and to manage AI computing costs.

  • Guest demonstrations: unregistered visitors may be offered a strictly limited trial of the AI tutor, capped per network address.
  • Registered accounts without a Paid Unlock: a limited trial allowance, sufficient to test the AI tutor before deciding whether to buy.
  • Accounts with a Paid Unlock covering AI features: an allowance calibrated for normal, individual exam revision across a full syllabus.

If usage on an account falls clearly outside normal human study patterns, for example near-continuous usage, account sharing, or automated or scripted requests, we may temporarily pause access and ask you to contact support to restore it. This policy exists to prevent abuse, not to restrict genuine studying.

8. Refunds and Digital Content Waiver

A Paid Unlock gives you access to digital content immediately upon payment.

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts does not apply to digital content once supply has begun with your express consent. At checkout you will be asked to consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel, and we will confirm that acknowledgement to you in writing. If we fail to obtain that consent or to send that confirmation, your statutory cancellation right is unaffected by this section.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

Our 14-Day Unused Guarantee

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you buy a Paid Unlock and have not used any Paid Feature of that Course within 14 days of purchase, email support@learnincurve.com and we will refund you in full, no questions asked.

"Used" means having accessed any Paid Feature of that Course, as listed for that Course in the Schedule. This is determined from your account activity, so you do not need to prove anything.

If you have used a Paid Feature and encounter a genuine technical fault that we cannot promptly fix, we will review refund requests case by case. We may decline a refund where we reasonably suspect abuse, for example extensive use of a Course followed by a refund request.

9. Acceptable Use

When using Learn in Curve, you agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with other individuals.
  • Scrape, spider, or bulk-download course content, code, or data.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our question banks or AI marking rubrics.
  • Use the Service to build a competing educational product or train a competing AI model.
  • Prompt or use any AI tutor for purposes outside its intended exam-preparation scope.

10. Intellectual Property

All original course content, practice questions, explanations, marking rubrics, software code, and the Learn in Curve brand are our intellectual property or licensed to us. They are provided strictly for your personal, non-commercial revision use.

Third-party names, qualification titles and trade marks referred to in our content remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the qualification a Course prepares you for.

Your own answers and progress data remain yours. By using the platform you grant us the right to use aggregated, de-identified performance data, for example "60% of users answer this question incorrectly", to improve our products and educational materials.

11. AI Limitations and No Guarantee of Exam Success

  • No guarantee: using Learn in Curve does not guarantee that you will pass any exam. We aim for high content quality and close alignment to published syllabuses, but exam outcomes depend on individual effort and on factors outside our control.
  • Not the exam: our Courses prepare you for a qualification. They are not the qualification, and they are not the examination. Exam entry, fees and results are handled by the relevant awarding body, separately from us.
  • AI marking: where a Course uses AI to apply our marking rubrics to written answers, that marking is intended to give immediate revision feedback. It can make mistakes and is not an official assessment. Report any grading discrepancy to support@learnincurve.com for review.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn in Curve is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Our total cumulative liability to you arising from these terms or your use of the Service, regardless of the cause of action, is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim. If you have only used Free Features, our liability is limited to £0.

This section does not limit liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, in particular the Acceptable Use policy in section 9 or the Fair Usage policy in section 7, without prior notice or refund. You may terminate your agreement with us at any time by deleting your account, which you can do yourself from Account in the dashboard menu. You can also email support@learnincurve.com and we will do it for you.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically to reflect new features, product changes, or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date above and notify registered users by email of any material change. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Adding a new Course to the Schedule, or updating what an existing Course includes, is not by itself a material change to these terms, provided the substance of sections 1 to 15 is unchanged. The terms that apply to a purchase are the terms and Schedule in force at the time you bought.

15. General Provisions

  • Force Majeure: we are not liable for failure or delay in providing the Service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, for example natural disasters, server outages, third-party service downtime, or government action.
  • Severability: if any provision of these terms is found unenforceable or invalid, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain in full force.

16. Governing Law

These terms, and any disputes arising out of or related to them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Schedule — Courses, Free Features and Paid Features

This Schedule sets out the Courses available, what is free in each, and what counts as a Paid Feature for the purposes of the 14-Day Unused Guarantee in section 8. Prices are shown on each course page and confirmed at checkout, not here.

PMQ in 5 Days

Preparation for the APM Project Management Qualification.

  • Free Features: core course content, standard quizzes, and the first mock exam.
  • Paid Unlocks: a Pro unlock covering additional quiz sets and further mock exams. An AI Pro unlock covering everything in Pro plus the AI tutor and AI-marked mock exams. Not currently available for purchase. It is offered by waitlist only, and no charge is taken for it.
  • A Paid Feature is treated as used if you have: sent a message to the AI tutor under a Paid Unlock, opened a paid quiz set, or started any mock exam beyond the first.

PFQ in 2 Days

Preparation for the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification.

  • Free Features: the lesson framework on every learning objective (learning outcomes, key takeaways, key definitions, common misconceptions, memory aids and progress checkpoints); the full lesson insights for Learning Objective 1; the first practice set on every objective (5 questions per objective, 50 in total); and Trap School.
  • Paid Unlock (Pro): the full lesson insights for Learning Objectives 2 to 10, the complete practice question bank, all three timed mock papers, and the coverage map.
  • Paid Unlock (AI Pro): everything in Pro, plus the Sly AI tutor and an end-of-course report. Not currently available for purchase. It is offered by waitlist only, and no charge is taken for it.
  • A Paid Feature is treated as used if you have: opened the insights for any Learning Objective from 2 to 10, answered a practice question outside the first practice set, started any mock paper, or opened the coverage map.

Free mock exams

Standalone readiness checks, not Courses.

We publish short, free mock exams for the APM PMQ, the APM PFQ and the PMI PMP. They need no account and no payment. They are not a Course: they do not include lessons, and passing one tells you where you stand rather than granting access to anything.

  • Free Features: the whole thing. There is nothing paid in a free mock exam.
  • Paid Unlocks: none.
  • To receive your result you give us an email address. What we do with it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

A free mock exam for a qualification does not mean we publish a Course for that qualification. At the date above we publish Courses for the PMQ and the PFQ only.

To add a Course, add an entry to this Schedule in the same shape and update the "In force from" date above. The body of these terms should not need to change.
