Terms of Service - Learn in Curve

Last updated: 30 July 2026 · Effective from: 10 July 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using learnincurve.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. What the service is

Learn in Curve is a self-directed revision platform for professional certifications. Currently: "PMQ in 5 days" (APM Project Management Qualification revision content, quizzes, and a mock exam), free to access, plus an optional paid AI tutor add-on. Additional paid courses are also planned.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of APM (the Association for Project Management) or any other awarding body. Course content is our own original revision material aimed at their published syllabus, not official APM material.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to create an account.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately (support@learnincurve.com) if you think your account's been compromised.

5. Free access, paid features, and payment

  • Course content, quizzes, and Mock Exam 1 for "PMQ in 5 days" are free - this is a deliberate, permanent product decision, not an introductory offer.
  • The Premium bundle for PMQ in 5 days is a one-time paid unlock (currently £8.00). It includes the AI tutor (Sly), extra quiz sets, and the AI-graded Mock Exams 2–4. Once unlocked on your account, it stays unlocked - it's not a subscription.
  • Future courses may be paid, one-time-purchase (not subscription), per course.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your card details.

Fair usage

Visitors can try Sly live on the homepage without an account — limited to 3 messages per network (IP). After that, you need a free account to continue.

Free accounts get 3 messages with the AI tutor per course, so you can try it before buying. Paid (unlocked) accounts get a generous message allowance per course, calibrated to normal exam-revision use - enough for regular study sessions across the whole syllabus. If usage on a paid account is clearly outside normal individual study (for example, near-continuous use, or automated or scripted requests), we may pause access and ask you to get in touch before restoring it. This exists to catch abuse, not to limit genuine revision.

Refunds

The AI tutor unlocks digital content and features (chat-based tutoring and progress summaries) immediately on payment. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts doesn't apply to digital content once you've started using it and have expressly agreed to that at checkout - you'll be asked to confirm this before paying.

That said: if you haven't sent the tutor a message, opened a paid extra quiz set, or started Mock Exam 2, 3 or 4 within 14 days of purchase, email support@learnincurve.com and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. If you've used a paid feature and hit a genuine technical fault we can't fix promptly, we'll refund on a case-by-case basis. We may decline a refund where we reasonably suspect abuse (for example, substantially using the paid features, then requesting a refund).

6. Acceptable use

Don't: share your account with others, scrape or bulk-download course content, attempt to reverse-engineer the quiz bank, use the service to build a competing product, or use the AI tutor for anything outside its intended exam-prep purpose.

7. Intellectual property

All course content, quiz questions, explanations, and the Learn in Curve brand are our property (or licensed to us) and are provided for your personal, non-commercial revision use only. Your own quiz answers and progress data remain yours, but we may use aggregated, de-identified performance data (e.g. "60% of users get this question wrong") to improve the product.

8. No guarantee of exam success

Using Learn in Curve does not guarantee you will pass any exam. We aim for high content quality and exam alignment, but exam outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

Mock Exam 1 asks you to award your own marks by comparing written responses with our model answer and marking guide; those self-awarded marks are revision feedback, not an official assessment. Mock Exams 2–4 use AI to apply our marking rubrics. AI marking can make mistakes and is also revision feedback, not an official APM result or a substitute for an awarding-body assessment. You can report a grading problem to support@learnincurve.com for review.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Learn in Curve is provided "as is." Our total liability to you arising from these terms or your use of the service - however it arises - is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for most users this is £0, since course access is free; if you've purchased the AI tutor, the cap is the amount you paid for it). This doesn't limit liability that can't legally be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

10. Termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate section 6. You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@learnincurve.com (see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data).

11. Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top when these change, and email registered users about material changes.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
